Before we left our big home den (in Bryan) at the start of our journey, Mom and Dad talked to each other a lot about things that were not interesting to me (maps, schedules, passports, supplies, warm clothes, etc). Then, on the day that we all finally got into our moving den (aka Graycie our camper van) they stopped, clasped hands and asked for Angel's protection. I'm not sure who Angel was, but I decided having help on an adventure was a good thing so I also asked Angel to protect us.
Our first day in Graycie, was short and kinda scary. I don’t know why it happened but just when I was getting used to sitting in Mom’s lap and being able to see out the big window in front of us, there was a loud noise outside. It got dark, almost like the night, and water kept falling out of the sky and making scary, noise on top of Graycie’s head (roof). I did not like that at all but soon decided that since Mom and Dad were not scared, I shouldn’t be either, so I curled up in Mom’s arms and got sleepy.
I had only had one nap when we stopped at a place Mom called - Galaxy Drive-In (a drive-in movie theater in Ennis, Texas and host site for members of Harvest Hosts). After Dad talked to a man in a small den and handed him some paper (ticket money) we stopped in front of the biggest T.V. ever! I kid you not, this thing was enormous!! In fact, we saw a lot of big TV’s just like the one we stopped in front of. It was hard to say for sure because they were so far away from us but I thought they may have had different pictures on them than the one where we stopped. I like to watch T.V. at home sometimes, but even with my ear flaps down, this one was way too loud and there were no dogs on the screen, so I decided to go to sleep. Mom and Dad seemed to enjoy the big T.V. show, but I have to give the Galaxy Drive-In two paws down on fun for us furry folk.

After the noisy big T.V. show ended, we all stayed inside our moving Graycie den and got into our beds. I love sleeping in Graycie. Mom and Dad sleep on their high bed, and I sleep on my own low bed, but we all get to share the same den! Every time we go outside of Graycie, Mom is usually the one who lets me out, but when we are outside, I have to keep her on a leash. I think she is scared of getting lost in the strange places we visit so I'm happy to do that for her. Mom says that we are going to stop at a church tomorrow to walk and play.
Until next time... -Max Sweet
